Synthetic Minds

Trigger: hover — a soft-edged circular mask follows the pointer across a full-viewport hero.

Motion: two versions of the same image are stacked; the hidden layer shows only inside the spotlight circle around the cursor (flashlight / X-ray / thermal-scope effect), the mask easing slightly behind the pointer; a custom themed cursor replaces the OS cursor and the reveal fades out on pointer leave.

Structure: stacked background layers + animatable CSS custom properties (@property) driving a radial-gradient mask from pointermove. Best for: hidden-layer or dual-reality moments — see-in-the-dark, under-the-surface, alternate-state reveals.
